Dear Parents and Guardians
Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency will sponsor its 40th Annual Sickle Cell Summer Enrichment Camp at Camp Carefree in Stokesdale, North Carolina! Our camp will be held July 28th through August 2nd.

Campers must be 6-16 years of age, have sickle cell disease and reside in North Carolina. If you are interested in your child attending, please complete the attached application and return it by June 1, 2024, to secure your child's spot. Important: applications will not be accepted after June 1, 2024.

The health form must be completed by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. We are following protocols set by Camp Carefree and lifted the COVID restrictions. However, vaccines are encouraged. Your child will not be accepted into the camp without these required documents.

Please understand PHSSCA's number one goal is camper safety. Our organization does not tolerate bullying, violence, disrespect, or using foul language. A camper will be sent home immediately if they participate in these behaviors. Campers are not allowed to have cell phones, iPads, or tablets while at camp. Parents and guardians are welcome to call the Camp Director to check on campers during the week.

If you have any questions please contact the Camp Director, Monica Summers, at (336) 886-6261. Thank you for allowing your child to attend our summer camp. We look forward to sharing time with him/her this year!
